Railroad is a borough in York County, Pennsylvania, United States.

The borough owes its existence, and its name, to what became the Northern Central Railway, which was assembled connecting Baltimore, Maryland, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Railroad Borough Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the borough has a total region of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km2), all of it land. There were 112 homeholds of which 41.1% had kids under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female homeholder with no husband present, and 28.6% were non-families.

29.0% of the populace were under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 33.7% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 years of age or older.

The median homehold income was $37,917 and the median family income was $47,813.

About 1.3% of families and 4.7% of the populace were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen and 16.7% of those sixty five or over.
